How can banks remain true trust providers in the future? Find out at #TBSCONF20BXL.

I don’t think any of us have ever experienced a situation quite like this one. We at The Banking Scene sincerely hope that you, your family and close ones are in good health.

As we all continue to assess the impact of COVID-19 on our lives and our business, we need to look positively at what the near future will bring us. It will come as no surprise that our conference planned for 12 May 2020 will be postponed. We only decided this after consulting the banking community, who responded with one voice: "The Banking Scene is an important get-together, let's meet later this year".

The Banking Scene 2020 will take place on September 29 in a new venue: Bozar, the centre for fine arts in downtown Brussels.

This year's theme will be "TRUST". In one day we will address the key elements of what it means to provide a trusted financial service. Trust is an essential element to build life connections. We bring you up to speed in different domains and help you understand this big picture.

The energy and vibrant discussions during the sessions and breaks are exactly why we organise this kind of events.

A shortlist of the topics we will touch:

  • reputation of the industry
  • the essential ingredients for trusted digital services
  • open banking
  • blockchain
  • the future of global payments and of money
  • behavioural economics
  • purposeful banking
  • the constant stretch of a changing regulation
  • and lots more

Like last year we'll concentrate on 2 tracks: banking and payments, because they both deserve special attention in relation to trust, so we made sure sufficient speakers can have their say on the topic!

“The Banking Event brings you up-to-speed with the most important movements in the sector, provides usable use cases and gives you ample opportunity to exchange experiences with your fellow bankers.”
